Guess what? We managed to complete our 1000 piece, Thomas Kinkade puzzle =) My family spent the whole of this morning till this afternoon completing the rest of the puzzle that we started on Tuesday night. I think a lot of life lessons can be learned from piecing puzzles together, but I won't bore you with my life philosophy. I'll just say that completing a puzzle takes a lot of patience =) I'm glad that we managed to complete it today! My goal was to finish it before I moved out =) So mission accomplished. This piece is titled Christmas Memories. I wish I could paint/draw like that!

Woohoo! Managed to buy lotsa used books this time *grin* saved lotsa moolah!!! I still have four more books to purchase. I'll prob check up online to see if I can get cheaper prices =) Most of my books this semester is for journalism. Can't wait to take Graphic Designs! I heard that it's quite tough... but i'm sure if I enjoy it, it'll be worth it =) I'll be able to make pretty posters, brochures, nice layouts... it'll come in handy for the NW Asian Youth Conference publicity =)

I finally packed up everything yesterday. I have more things than I thought I have! Heh. I hope everything would be able to fit into the room. I'll prob be moving in after church on Sunday! How time flies. =)

Summer break's almost officially over. *sob* No more vacations for 3.5 mths. Kinda sad.... this will be my last time hanging out with the whole fam for a vacation, unless my parents get to visit us or we visit them.

Leaving everything I know behind, traveling on a road to somewhere new, somewhere different

I realized that I still have quite a lot more things to pack into boxes. It's so difficult to decide what to bring to campus and what not to. Whatever I don't bring with me will be brought back to Singapore, and I won't be able to use them if I happen to need them. Plus there isn't enough room in the dorm to bring EVERYTHING I own here =S.

Anyway, managed to swim quite a bit two days ago. Realized how relaxing it is to swim laps around the pool alone! It's great for times of stress *grin* Just me and the blue water. Too bad summer's going to be over soon and the Montavilla pool will be drained out. Bye bye pool. Anyway that pool's so tiny. There are usually pple just playing around in there. There's hardly any room to swim laps. bleh.

Well, I'll be moving in less than a week. I guess I'm glad that my family's still here for awhile during my first on-campus semester of adjustment =P It'll be scary to be left there all alone with them back in Singapore. That's like a million miles away!!!! Okie dokie time for me to get my booklist. School books buying time. Adios.

Oooh yea, people (females) who are free now should read this book titled Emily Ever After by Anne Dayton and May Vanderbilt. It's such a great book!!! Something said by the main character really struck me. This is not an actual quote: She left her hometown seeking what she always wanted and realized that what she always wanted was actually where she was. Sometimes it takes us leaving our present situation thinking that we are moving on to greener pastures to come to realize that our "greener pastures" aren't as green as we thought they would be. And what we had may actually be what we wanted all along... just that we never realized it until we got out of it. So, GREAT NOVEL! I give it a gold star. *grin*

Till then I bid you farewell.......

The car careened around the corner of the curve. I squeezed my eyes shut as an enormous bus zoomed by on the opposite side of the road missing our car merely by inches. Realizing that the danger was over, I peeked out from my ducked position. All clear. The car swerved around another corner. My heart almost stopped. Right in front of our car was a parked car at the blind corner of the curve. With a jerk, our car swung to the other side of the badly parked car, barely missing it.

I really have to thank God for keeping our family safe during our entire vacation. Even in those two near accidents, He sent His angels to keep us safe, and He enabled Dad to drive us safely to our destinations. I never really thought about those incidents after they happened for the rest of the trip. However, I was reminded today by God's protection for His children even during times of fun and relaxation (vacations). So this entry is dedicated to God in thanksgiving for having His hatch of protection around us ALL THE TIME.
